CAF Snowbirds
CAF Snowbirds - The Snowbirds, Canada's national aerobatic team, fly nine Canadian designed and built CT-114 Tutors.  The team is celebrating their 40th Anniversary.

USAF Thunderbirds - The United States Air Force Thunderbirds return to Abbotsford in 2010 after a one year absence.  The Thunderbirds fly six F-16 Fighting Falcons.

CAF Skyhawks
CAF Skyhawks - The Canadian Forces Parachute Team, the Skyhawks, are renowned for their signature Canopy Relative Work parachute performance.

CT-155 Hawk - The Hawk is the principal jet trainer in the NATO Flying Training in Canada program and is based in Cold Lake, AB and Moose Jaw, SK. 2010 marks the Hawk's debut as an Abbotsford Airshow performer.

Canadian Army Display

CAF Assault Demo - The 39th Canadian Brigade Group will provide an impressive ground demonstration to display the capabilities of personnel and equipment. A CF-18 Hornet will provide support from the air and pyrotechnics will be used to add authenticity to the display.

F/A-18F Super Hornet - The F/A-18F Super Hornet has replaced the F-14 Tomcat as US Navy's top-line jet fighter aircraft. The Super Hornet is extremely maneuverable, which will be quite evident during its display. The Super Hornet returns to Abbotsford for the fourth consecutive year.

C-17 Globemaster

C-17 Globemaster - The C-17 is capable of rapid strategic delivery of troops and all types of cargo, and it can perform tactical airlift and airdrop missions. The Canadian Forces utilize four C-17s. The example performing at the show comes to us from the United States Air Force. In addition to their tactical demonstration, the C-17 crew will also be flying in support of the CAF Skyhawks.

F-15E Strike Eagle - The F-15E Strike Eagle is based out of Seymour Johnson AFB, NC. This exciting demonstration displays the F-15E Strike Eagle's capabilities as a dual-role fighter in both air-to-air and air-to-ground missions.

USAF Heritage Flight

USAF Heritage Flight - The USAF Heritage Flight program was established in 1997 to display the evolution of United States Air Force airpower. The 2010 Heritage Flight consists of an F-15E Strike Eagle and a WWII era P-51 Mustang from the Heritage Flight Museum in Bellingham, WA. The Mustang will be flown by Greg Anders.

MH-65 Dolphin - The folks from United States Coast Guard at Port Angeles, WA, are bringing back to Abbotsford their impressive Dolphin helicopter to display the Search and Rescue capabilities of both helicopter and crew. Before and after its performance, the Dolphin will also be on static display for close up viewing.

US Navy Legacy Flight

US Navy Legacy Flight - Formation flight of an F/A-18F Super Hornet and a Korean and Vietnam War era A-1 Skyraider from the Heritage Flight Museum in Bellingham, WA. The Skyraider will be flown by Alan Anders.

CH-149 Cormorant - The Canadian Air Force’s only dedicated search and rescue helicopter, the rugged CH-149 Cormorant can operate in even the most severe conditions, making it ideal for Canada’s challenging geography and climate. Before and after its performance, the Cormorant will also be on static display for close up viewing. (SATURDAY AND SUNDAY ONLY)

Hawk One

FG-1D Corsair - It has been eight years since a Corsair has been a part of the Abbotsford Airshow lineup. The Corsair is widely considered the most capable of all carrier-based fighter aircraft of World War Two. The example at the show this year comes from the Vintage Wings of Canada.

P-51 Mustang

P-51 Mustang - The range, speed and high altitude capabilities of the P-51 enabled Allied forces to escort bombers far deeper into enemy territory than any other fighter aircraft during WWII. This allowed the continuation and fruition of the American Bomber force's tactic of precision daylight bombing.

Avro Lancaster - The Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum's Avro Lancaster will be flying over the skies of Abbotsford in 2010. The CWHM Lancaster is one of only two airworthy examples in the world today. Over 7300 were built during WWII. The Lancaster first saw action in the war in 1942 and served with the RAF, RCAF and other Commonweatlth and European countries serving within the RAF Bomber Command.

Bearcat

F8F Bearcat - Though designed to meet and beat Japanese Zeros and defend Navy fleets against incoming kamikaze attacks, the Bearcat entered service just as WWII hostilities ended. 1266 Bearcats were eventually built and around 10 remain airworthy. The Bearcat coming to Abbotsford hails from the Historic Flight Foundation in Everett, Washington and will makes its debut at Abbotsford.

A-1 Skyraider - The Douglas A-1 Skyraider was a U.S. single-seat attack bomber during the 1950s, 1960s and early 1970s. The Skyraider at Abbotsford comes from the Heritage Flight Museum in Bellingham. The Skyraider is an AD-4 variant and is flown by Alan Anders.

B-25 Mitchell

B-25 Mitchell - The B-25 was used by many Allied air forces, including the RCAF, in every theater of World War II, as well as many other air forces after the war ended, and saw service across four decades. The B-25 was made immortal on April 18, 1942, in what is commonly known as the Doolittle raid, when it became the first United States aircraft to bomb the Japanese mainland. They were the heaviest aircraft at the time to be flown from a ship at sea.

Harvard MkII - The Canadian Museum of Flight will display their 1942 MkII Harvard at the Abbotsford Airshow. The Museum's Harvard is one of the Canadian built MkIIB models, built by Noorduyn Aviation in Montreal. It served with 400 Squadron, RCN at Dartmouth, NS.

Tiger Moth

de Havilland DH 82C Tiger Moth - Canadian Museum of Flight display. The Tiger Moth was a basic trainer with the BCATP (British Commonwealth Air Training Plan) during WWII, whereby aircrew from all over the British Commonwealth trained in Canada; and with the RAF in India, South Africa and elsewhere. In 1940, there were 120 Tiger Moths based at Boundary Bay, near Vancouver, BC.

Fleet 16B Finch Mk II - Canadian Museum of Flight display. The first Finch 16B for the RCAF flew in March 1940, some remaining in service until 1947, flying at the Elementary Flying Training Schools in parallel with the better-known Tiger Moth. The Museum of Flight’s Finch was used at No.9 EFTS, St. Catherines, Ontario and No. 11 EFTS, Cap de Madeline, Quebec.

Waco AQC-6

Waco AQC-6 - Canadian Museum of Flight display. The Waco series of four-seat cabin biplanes was initiated in 1931 and the aircraft were produced continuously in progressively refined models until 1939. The Museum’s aircraft was manufactured in 1937 at Troy, Ohio as a ZQC-6 model but was converted to an AQC-6 in 1947. Purchased new by the Department of National Defence in Ottawa, it was operated by the Department of Transport until 1949, when it was moved out to the British Columbia coast.
