Abbotsford Airshow STEM Program

Step-by-step learning: Jr. Makerspace students start with Coding & Robotics before moving on to more advanced modules. Students who complete all of the advanced modules may receive an invitation into our Sr. STEM Academy.

What Is STEM?

STEM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics.

For students, it means learning by doing. In our programs, STEM looks like building robots, designing parts with 3D printers, experimenting with electronics, and solving real problems.

No prior experience is needed. Our programs are designed to meet students where they are and help them grow.

Abbotsford Airshow STEM Program

What Students Learn

Our programs are built around real-world skills that help students thrive in school, future careers, and everyday life.

Engineering & Design

Students design, build, test and refine using core engineering principles and structured problem-solving.

Robotics & Coding

Robotics projects introduce coding logic, mechanical systems, and the satisfaction of bringing ideas to life.

Creative Problem Solving

Students learn to experiment, troubleshoot, and iterate, turning challenges into opportunities to learn.

Teamwork & Communication

Working in teams helps students share ideas, divide tasks, and celebrate success together.

Jr. Makerspace

Our STEM Courses offer structured, skill-building pathways for students who want to go deeper into technology, engineering, and design.

Through hands-on projects in coding, robotics, digital design, and electronics, students develop real-world problem-solving skills while working with professional tools and hardware.

Courses are designed to support steady progression—from foundational concepts to more advanced engineering challenges—allowing students to build confidence, creativity, and technical ability over time.
